Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur, women with hearts as wide as the world, make known God's goodness and love of the poor through a Gospel way of life, community and prayer. Continuing a strong educational tradition, we take our stand with poor people especially women and children, in the most abandoned places. Each of us commits her one and only life to work with others to create justice and peace for all.

When you are ready, we can help you enter into a formal discernment process:

• Pre-Affiliation: Am I called?
  Offers a period of support for prayerful discernment.
• Affiliation: Is this Congregation right for me? Live in a Notre Dame community and learn more about the SND spirit and mission.
• Novitiate: Is God calling me to religious life? Novices are given the direction and time necessary to deepen and integrate a life of contemplation, mission and ministry and to develop a deeper understanding of the vows.
• Initial Commitment: Am I able and willing to make a commitment to Notre Dame? Upon making first vows in a public ceremony, a Sister lives in a Notre Dame community, participates in ministry and continues to discern her readiness to make a lifetime commitment as a Sister of Notre Dame.
• Permanent Commitment: How can I continue loving and serving the Good God? At the time of final vows a Sister dedicates her life to God and God's people as a member of the Congregation of the Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur.
