who have need. We thank God for the positive vote in the House on the Jubilee Act! Where are Sisters teach in Nigeria, Kenya and Congo, the burden of debt may soon be lifted! The vote in the House in favor of the Jubilee Act can make possible dramatic change in these countries. It can reverse the capped wages, inadequate health care and want of schooling because of high fees. Pray that the Senate will follow the House lead and make this possible. Pray with us the prayer we offered: Open our hearts and turn our faces towards you, O God.
Be with us as we strive to be Jubilee people.
Help us to see the faces of your people in the countries struggling
With debt, expecially those currently being deprived of health care, schooling, and opportunities for a better life. We pray in a special way for those in countries where we serve
And for our Sisters and coworkers who strive with them for lives of dignity and hope.
May our understanding and resolve be strengthened by your grace.
We ask this through Jesus Christ, our risen Lord. AMEN.
