National Vocation Team

The Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur have announced the creation of a national team of five Sisters, who lead the community's vocation program. This team serves as a bridge connecting the congregation to the growing number of women in the country who have been drawn to the Sisters of Notre Dame. Current plans provide interested women with opportunities for programs, retreats, electronic newsletters and personal communication with interested women.

Vocation team members include:

  • Sr. Josita Colbert of Windsor, CT, has been instrumental in the development of programs reflecting the diversity of the Sisters.
  • Sr. Peggy Cummins of Somerville, MA, has a love and appreciation for the international and multi-cultural character of the congregation.
  • Sr. Angele Lewis of Ipswich, MA, believes that assisting a women to recognize God's call for her life is the heart of the vocation ministry.
  • Sr. Jacinta Martinez of San Carlos, CA, believes that her skills in compassionate listening and counseling will serve her well as she journeys with women who desire to answer the call of Jesus to live a Gospel way of life as a vowed religious.
