Many Catholic women feel an attraction to "something more" for their life and muse about religious life, but may let assumptions mute that attraction: I'm too old. I was married at one time. I'm divorced. I have adult children. I don't go to church regularly. I disagree with some of the church's practices. And the list could go on. But none of these assumptions should stop your search! Explore your desire for "something more:" - Make a list of your questions and wonderings.
- Identify the "top 10" things you care deeply about: issues, relationships, experiences, etc.
- List the "pros" for exploring a vocation. Now list the "cons."
- Review your lists and pray with an openness to the possibility of religious life. Listen to the wisdom of the Spirit of God dwelling within you.
- Talk to someone who knows about religious life.
