11/11/08 - Students at Moreland Notre Dame School were on hand for Watsonville's Veteran's Day parade.  Students lined up along Main Street to cheer on the veterans and salute the flag. Steve Bankhead wrote in the Register-Pajaronian: "We seemed in especially good form this year, receiving a boost from the long line of Moreland Notre Dame students cheering us at the start.  Those kids straightened quite a few backs.  Good learning for the students and a support for the community."

10/24/08 - With more than 1000 lbs. of food collected for charity in the recent "Trick or Treat So All Can Eat" campaign, 5th graders at Notre Dame Elementary, Belmont, were all smiles in the Catholic San Francisco.

8/26/08 - NDNU freshmen Kyle Hirozawa, Rob Mitchell and Zaira Contreras are shown hard at work volunteering as part of the university's First Year Experience in the 8/26 edition of the San Mateo County Times.

6/28/08 - Alumni Caitlin McGinty (Notre Dame High School, Belmont) finds wearing bananas on her head suits her just fine as she kicks off her professional acting career in the "Beach Blanket Babylon" musical in San Francisco.  One of her roles spoofs the legendary Carmen Miranda.  Congratulations Caitlin.  You can read about her debut in the San Francisco Chronicle.

6/15/08 - Great effort senior Lisette Abad (Notre Dame High School, San Jose) for your attempt to gain a spot on the 2008 Olympic team in judo!  Lisette recently won a bronze medal at the Pan American Championships in Argentina.
