Sisters of the California Province teach in schools and community education centers, and support and counsel people of all ages in pastoral ministries and social services. You will find them in ministries from Seattle to Los Angeles, San Francisco to New York City, to Nairobi, Kenya.

Retired Sisters tutor in elementary schools, teach English as a Second Language, take Eurcharist to nearby care facilities and, above all, pray.  They never retire from their vocation of service and prayer!

The Sisters of Notre Dame sponsor Notre Dame de Namur University, Notre Dame High School, Elementary School and Early Learning Center all in Belmont. They also sponsor Notre Dame High School, San Jose, and Moreland Notre Dame Academy, Watsonville, and co-sponsor Cristo Rey High School in Sacramento.

The California Province, in ministry on the West Coast since 1844, is part of the international congregation of Notre Dame de Namur, founded in France in 1804 by St. Julie Billiart.
