shelves long.
Packages air mailed in February finally arrived in the hands of our Sisters in Zimbabwe in the middle of June.  Sr. Marie McLoughlin writes, "I want you all to know that the parcels you send, and we know that they come at cost to you in time, energy, and money, continue to be a source of great consolation to your Sisters in Zimbabwe and the many poor with whom they are in contact.  THANK YOU!"

As the political crisis worsens, California Associates and Sisters throughout the U.S. will continue to respond to the urgent needs of our brothers and sisters in Zimbabwe.  Gathering funds and emergency goods is a tangible reminder of our interconnectedness.  Through this labor of love we strengthen our relationships.

Associate Pat Stacker, one of our generous and efficient organizers of the Zimbabwe effort said, "My family and I are so grateful to be able to do something concrete to help our brothers and sisters suffering terrible hardships. Writing personal messages and including notes, photos and drawings from the children gave everyone a chance to reach out in love to families on the other side of the world and show that we care."
