A donation to the Sisters of Notre Dame is a special way to memorialize the passing of a family member, friend or colleague, or to celebrate the special occasions of life or encourage someone who’s sick. A beautiful card featuring a photo taken by a Sister (as shown below) will be sent to the person you designate, assuring him or her of your thoughtful remembrance and the prayers of the Sisters.
Donor Spotlight: Rose Marie O’Leary
Blessed with a big circle of family and friends, Notre Dame San Francisco graduate Rose Marie O’Leary regularly makes time to honor birthdays or wedding anniversaries and send congratulations or good well wishes and prayers. Sometimes she just lets someone know she is thinking of them. Most of Rose Marie’s remembrances are made on the anniversary of someone’s death. Hardly a week goes by without her sending remembrances of a Doonan or Dugan, a Carlin or O’Leary. “I just want my family and friends to know I’m thinking of them,” she says.
It has also been important to Rose Marie to connect her many thoughtful remembrances with more than a card. Nearly 300 (!) times Rose Marie O’Leary, has made a gift to the Sisters of Notre Dame who share her belief in the power of prayer. “The Sisters were such a gift to me,” Rose Marie says, “so why not give back to them?”
