My mom Kay loved life and was always ready to have a good time. She died at the age of 88 and up until that time she attended Catholic Charities Adult Day Center, bringing her lively spirit to the participants and staff alike. She made newcomers feel welcomed and loved to talk and visit with her friends each day.
Long before parishes began organizing ministries to the sick and needy, my mom had her own ministry. Whenever a neighbor or family member was sick, recovering from surgery, having a baby or just having a hard time, she was there with a meal, a good joke and a helping hand.
Thanks mom for being a great mom, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend to all. We love you and miss you!
