Happy to be honored at Notre Dame de Namur University’s Great Expectations Gala on March 21st, Sr. Roseanne Murphy shared, “I accepted the Community Service Award in the name of all the Sisters of Notre Dame who have served at the college. They gave so much of their lives to bring higher education first to women and now to a diverse group of men and women. It has been a privilege to serve at the University these 45 years.”
Dr. Judith Greig, NDNU President, says of their 2009 award honoree, “It is our goal to recognize citizens of the Bay Area who have given selflessly of their time, energy, and resources to improve the quality of life for others and to promote social justice. This time we didn’t have to look very far at all. Sr. Roseanne embodies our mission and core values. She is a part of all of our hearts.
Well done, Sr. Roseanne!
