Make a Tribute Gift to celebrate the special occasions of life or encourage someone who’s sick.
For that person who may “have everything,” a contribution celebrating a birthday, holiday, anniversary, retirement or other special occasion is the perfect gift.
A Memorial Gift is a meaningful way to remember a “special person,” a loved one or a Sister who passed away.
A beautiful card featuring a photo taken by a Sister (as shown above) can be sent to the person you designate, assuring him or her of your thoughtful remembrance and the prayers of the Sisters. We provide the names of donors to the family, keeping individual gift amounts confidential.
Sample wording to advise friends and family for use in an obituary:
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur, 1520 Ralston Avenue, Belmont, CA 94002 or online at snddenca.org.
Donor Spotlight: Rose Marie O’Leary
Blessed with a large circle of family and friends, Notre Dame San Francisco graduate Rose Marie O’Leary regularly makes time to honor birthdays, wedding anniversaries, send a congratulations or a get well soon with prayers. “I just want my family and friends to know I’m thinking of them.”
Most of Rose Marie’s remembrances are made on the anniversary of someone’s death. It has been important to Rose Marie to connect her thoughtful remembrances with the Sisters of Notre Dame with something more than a card, a prayer. Over 500 times, Rose Marie O’Leary has made a gift to the Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur who share her belief in the power of prayer. “The Sisters were such a gift to me,” Rose Marie says, “so why not give back to them?”
