During the U.N. Commission on the Status of Women (March 2013) in New York City, the Sisters of Notre Dame presented Dr. Cristina Igoa (a long-time friend of Notre Dame) and a panel of students, teachers and administrators who spoke about the challenges of multicultural education.

Dr. Igoa, author of “The Inner World of the Immigrant Child,” shared her creative methodology that enables students to conquer the frustration of being strangers in a new land, and help them succeed in school and learn to live in the richness of two cultures.
